FAQ – Arctic Wolf Towing | Towing & Roadside Assistance Wisconsin

Question 1

How quickly can you reach me?

Accepted Answer

Our average response time is 45 minutes or less across our primary service areas including Eau Claire, Madison, Milwaukee, and surrounding counties. Response times may vary depending on call volume, traffic, weather, and your exact location. Calls are prioritized based on the nature and urgency of the situation — life-safety emergencies are always dispatched first. We dispatch the nearest available truck the moment you call and will keep you updated on your ETA.

Question 2

Are you available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Arctic Wolf Towing operates 24/7, 365 days a year including holidays. Emergencies don't follow a schedule, and neither do we. Whether it's 2 AM on a Sunday or a holiday weekend, our dispatch team is always standing by.

Question 3

What if I'm stranded in bad weather?

Accepted Answer

We prioritize emergency calls during severe weather events. Our drivers are trained and equipped to operate safely in Wisconsin winters, including snow, ice, and freezing rain. Call us immediately — we'll get to you as fast as road conditions allow and keep you updated on our ETA. Please note that during major weather events, response times may be longer than average due to high call volume and road conditions.

Question 4

How much does a tow cost?

Accepted Answer

Pricing depends on the type of service, distance, vehicle size, and time of day. We provide transparent, upfront quotes before any work begins — no surprise fees. Local tows typically start at a base hook-up rate plus a per-mile charge. Call our dispatch line for a quick estimate based on your specific situation.

Question 5

Do you work with insurance companies?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We work with most major auto insurance providers and can assist with the claims process. If your policy includes roadside assistance or towing coverage, we can often bill your insurer directly. Have your insurance card ready when you call and we'll walk you through the process.

Question 6

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept cash, all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), and digital payments. Payment is collected at the time of service. If you're unsure about costs, ask for a quote before we dispatch — we're always upfront about pricing.

Question 7

Is there an extra charge for after-hours or holiday service?

Accepted Answer

We strive to keep our pricing fair and consistent. After-hours and holiday calls may carry a small premium to account for driver availability and dispatch costs. We'll always disclose any additional fees before confirming your service request.

Question 8

What areas do you currently serve?

Accepted Answer

We actively serve 27 counties across Wisconsin, including the Eau Claire region (Eau Claire, Chippewa, Dunn, St. Croix, Pierce, Pepin, Trempealeau, Buffalo, Jackson), the Madison region (Dane, Columbia, Sauk, Dodge, Jefferson, Green, Green Lake, Marquette, Rock), and the Milwaukee metro (Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington, Ozaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Walworth, Fond du Lac, Sheboygan). Visit our Service Area page for the full interactive map.

Question 9

Do you tow along major Wisconsin highways?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We regularly service vehicles along I-94, I-90, US-53, US-12, WI-29, and I-43. If you're broken down on a Wisconsin interstate or highway within our coverage area, call us immediately. We're experienced with highway recoveries and work safely alongside traffic.

Question 10

Can you tow outside of Wisconsin?

Accepted Answer

We offer long-distance towing services and can transport vehicles across state lines when needed. Long-distance tows are quoted individually based on route and vehicle type. Contact our dispatch team to discuss your specific needs and get a custom quote.

Question 11

Are you expanding to new areas?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we're actively growing. Counties in the La Crosse, Marathon, Brown, and central Wisconsin regions are coming soon. Check our Service Area page for the latest coverage map and coming-soon counties.

Question 12

What should I do immediately after a breakdown?

Accepted Answer

First, move your vehicle as far off the road as safely possible. Turn on your hazard lights. If you're on a highway, stay in your vehicle with your seatbelt on until help arrives — it's safer than standing on the shoulder. Then call Arctic Wolf Towing at (715) 450-4548. Give us your exact location, the make and model of your vehicle, and describe the situation.

Question 13

What if I've been in an accident?

Accepted Answer

Safety first — check for injuries and call 911 if anyone is hurt. Once emergency services have been contacted, call us for accident recovery and towing. We work with law enforcement and can coordinate vehicle removal from the scene. Document the scene with photos if it's safe to do so before the vehicles are moved.

Question 14

My car won't start — can you help without towing it?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Our roadside assistance services include jump starts, tire changes, fuel delivery, and lockout assistance. If we can get you back on the road without a tow, we will. Call us and describe the problem — we'll send the right help.

Question 15

What if my vehicle is in a ditch or off-road?

Accepted Answer

We handle winch-outs and off-road recoveries regularly. Whether your vehicle slid off an icy road or got stuck in mud, our trucks are equipped with the gear to recover it safely. Give us your GPS coordinates or the nearest cross-street and we'll find you.

Question 16

What types of vehicles do you tow?

Accepted Answer

We tow passenger cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, motorcycles, RVs, commercial vehicles, semi-trucks, and heavy equipment. Our fleet includes flatbed carriers, wheel-lift trucks, and heavy-duty wreckers to handle virtually any vehicle type or situation.

Question 17

Do you offer flatbed towing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Flatbed towing is available for all-wheel-drive vehicles, low-clearance sports cars, luxury vehicles, and any situation where wheel-lift towing could cause damage. We recommend flatbed service for newer vehicles and those with low ground clearance.

Question 18

Can you tow commercial trucks and heavy equipment?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We have heavy-duty equipment and experienced operators for commercial towing including semi-trucks, box trucks, construction equipment, and fleet vehicles. Commercial clients can also arrange priority dispatch agreements — contact us to discuss your fleet needs.

Question 19

Are you licensed and insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Arctic Wolf Towing is fully licensed and insured in the state of Wisconsin. Our drivers are trained professionals and our equipment is regularly inspected and maintained. Your vehicle is in safe hands from the moment we arrive until it's delivered to its destination.
